About The Event

Being Held Gatherings are a regular practice, not a workshop. We gather to practice safety principles that allow us to come into honouring presence and connection.

We practice embodied loving acceptance, between and within all genders, without meaning. This runs counter to many of the cultural "rules" we have learned, both consciously and unconsciously.

We practice keeping each other in safe-enough space, holding each other in “no fixing” love and being with each other, no matter what thoughts pass through, what emotions arise and abate, or what physical sensations appear.

We practice easing the relentless, tiring quest to fix something we don’t like or find shameful about ourselves. “If only I could _______, then I’d be okay.”

Or...  When I change this, then...

When I stop this, then...

When I learn this, then...

When I have this, then...

When I get there, then...

When I’m more this, then...

When I get rid of this, then...

When I think this way, then... etc.

We practice the “language” of safe-enough touch — going beyond words — to deliver a deep embodied knowing of our worthiness no matter what parts of us we consider “not enough” or “too much”. And to also deliver a deep acknowledgement of our strengths and joys. We practice this for the present moment, not sometime in the future.

We practice “being with” whatever is present in others, and allowing others to “be with” us, so we can develop greater capacity to “be with” all the different parts of ourselves.

Being Held Gatherings are a community practice of rebuilding trust and freeing love.

So come with comfortable clothes and a water bottle and join us for a day of fun and togetherness, a lovely meal together, and an abiding sense of relaxation and ease.

This weekend is a Double Celebration weekend. On Sunday (the next day) we will be holding a one-day celebration of Being Held Raw. You can come to either one, or both.
